Deep reflection, thanks.

Deep reflection, thanks. The picture this brings to mind is a car with the gear in reverse. No matter how intensely the driver focuses ahead the car is bound to go in reverse - a reflection of the state of our subconscious mind, no matter how often we say the right things. The individuals with a healthy self esteem ensure the gear is set to go forward, having addressed inner conflicts and affirmations reinforce forward movement as they focus ahead and steer in the healthy direction.

WHAT IS LOVE?

Many may consider love a “feeling”. Some may describe love as an emotion. If it were an emotion, perceived as a feeling, and without corresponding action, would it truly be love? Love feels, but it’s more than a feeling. Without emotions, there would be no feelings. We may therefore appreciate love as having emotion, expressed as feelings, but…

My First Friends

Arrival was exciting! Lots of unknown faces and voices chattering joyfully. It was surprising that seeing me could stir so much delight, especially since most of the people were much older. There were a few familiar voices, from conversations in the past months, one voice I recognised had spoken with…

How To Recover From Being A Pathological People Pleaser?

I kept agonizing about making the phone call. I feared I would be letting my friend down for not being able to make it to the party, especially thinking I was one of the few people she had invited. I could have called a few days earlier, when I had…

What Happens When You Die?

Have you wondered what it would look like, being a fly on the wall after you die? What would you see in that “home” that’s no longer yours? What would your friends be doing or saying? If you could see into minds, what might be revealed? It may be relief…
